How does the 3PC ZipLuxe work?
The 3PC ZipLuxe gives you the best of both worlds by allowing you to use your bedding in two different ways.
Option 1 – Use it like traditional bedding.
On warmer nights, or whenever you prefer, simply leave the comforter unzipped so it lays over the top of the flat sheet like a normal quilt. The flat sheet is made to standard sizing, so it can be tucked in around your mattress just like traditional bedding. It also provides extra width and coverage while you sleep, something many zip bedding systems don’t offer once the comforter is unzipped.
Option 2 – Zip it up.
When you’re wanting to zip on the comforter right up the sides (like a sleeping bag), simply zip the comforter to the fitted sheet. This keeps your bedding neat and secure all night, with no slipping sheets or blankets ending up on the floor. If the flat sheet is left attached to the fitted sheet, it will sit loosely inside the zipped bedding, or you can simply remove it and store it away until you need it again.
The flat sheet is completely optional. If you never use one, simply pop it in the linen cupboard and use your ZipLuxe exactly the same way as our original 2PC system. If you love sleeping with a flat sheet, you’ll always have it ready whenever you want the comfort and coverage of traditional bedding.
No slipping, no tangled blankets, and no bedding ending up on the floor. Just zip, sleep, and enjoy a consistently tidy bed. Finished with matching pillowcases for a complete look.

A note about ZipLuxe bedding:
ZipLuxe is a unique bedding system where the comforter is physically attached to the fitted sheet by zippers, so it does require a little more care than traditional loose bedding. If you’re a particularly restless sleeper or tend to pull bedding forcefully during the night, please consider whether zip-attached bedding is right for you. Excessive pulling while the comforter is still zipped to the bed can place unnecessary strain on the zipper teeth. 3PC Bluegum Check Zipluxe Bed Set: Take your caravan touring to new levels with our all-in-one zip-up bed sets.
Just like all ZipLuxe sets, the Bluegum Check Zipluxe Caravan Bed Set is an all-in-one solution that combines an organic, washed cotton fitted sheet with a 300GSM cotton-filled comforter, joined together by zippers on both sides and matching pillowcase/s. The 3PC also includes a flat sheet that is secured by a zip at the bottom. The flat sheet is wider than the comforter by approx. 25cm on each side, allowing for more coverage. You can use both together or separately.
Cotton Filling:
Cotton filling is a completely natural alternative to polyester. However, it does not feature the same loft (height) that is achieved with a polyester filling. It is quite thin in comparison. Instead, the 300 GSM cotton filling is not designed for winter: this is an all-season filling designed for summer use. Cotton filling is breathable, allowing air to circulate, which can help regulate body temperature.

Caring for Your ZipLuxe Bed Set
To keep your ZipLuxe Bed Set looking and performing its best, please follow these important care and usage instructions.
Before First Use
Please inspect your ZipLuxe carefully upon receipt and before washing. If you notice a fault, please contact us before washing or using the item, as we are unable to assess some faults once an item has been washed.
Your ZipLuxe may arrive vacuum sealed for transport. Simply unpack it and allow some time for the comforter to naturally regain its loft.
Washing Your ZipLuxe
Always completely unzip and separate the comforter from the fitted sheet before washing.
- Wash in cold water on a gentle or delicate cycle.
- Use a washing machine with enough room for the comforter to move freely.
- For larger sizes, we recommend using a large-capacity or commercial laundromat machine.
- Do not overload the washing machine.
- Dry flat in the shade.
- Avoid prolonged direct sunlight.
- Do not tumble dry.
Natural fillings require a little extra care when wet. The filling becomes considerably heavier once saturated, and washing your ZipLuxe while the pieces are still attached can place excessive weight and strain on both the fabric and zipper system.
An overloaded washing machine can also cause heavy, wet bedding to twist, stretch and pull against itself during the wash and spin cycles. Bamboo is beautifully soft, but its natural fibres can be more vulnerable to tearing when subjected to excessive mechanical stress.
Important Information About Your ZipLuxe Zippers
ZipLuxe is different from traditional bedding. The comforter is physically attached to the fitted sheet by a durable zipper system, keeping your bedding securely in place and making difficult-to-access caravan, rooftop tent and bunk beds much easier to make.
Because the comforter is attached to the bed, it is important to remember that it cannot be pulled away in the same way as a traditional loose quilt or doona while it is still zipped in place.
If you are a particularly restless sleeper, frequently kick or pull bedding forcefully during the night, or may forget that the comforter is still attached when getting out of bed, please consider whether zip-attached bedding is suitable for your sleeping style.
Our ZipLuxe zippers are designed for normal everyday use. However, like any zipper, excessive force can damage the zipper teeth. Pulling the comforter strongly away from the mattress while it is still attached can place significant concentrated pressure on the zipper.
When multiple zipper teeth are pulled away together in one section, rather than an individual tooth failing, this type of damage is consistent with excessive force being applied to the zipper and is not considered a manufacturing fault. This can sometimes occur in a section approximately the width of the zipper slider, where the force has been concentrated.
To Help Protect Your Zippers
- Avoid forcefully pulling or kicking the comforter away from the mattress while it is zipped in place.
- Unzip the comforter if you need to pull it significantly away from the bed.
- Take a little extra care when getting out of bed during the night.
- Always completely separate the comforter and fitted sheet before washing.
- Never wash your ZipLuxe with the pieces zipped together.
With normal use and proper care, your ZipLuxe zipper system is designed to provide years of reliable performance.
Zip bedding is different to traditional loose bedding, so we strongly recommend considering your sleeping habits and reading these care instructions before purchasing.
